ATMOSPHERE
11/15/23 @ THE BELLWETHER - BY FRED LUNA
LIVE GALLERY + REVIEW
On a cold wet night in Los Angeles, The Bellwether hosted one of the greatest Hip-Hop artist of our generation… Slug.
The doors to the bellwether opened at around 7pm and the venue was immediately flooded by fans of walks of life. The energetic group “No Fun!” got the crowd started and wanting more. They were followed by an amazing set from “HEBL” that helped hold everyone off till the main act.
Atmosphere opened up with okay and throughout the performance took us on a audio time machine as he played classic hits such as Happymess, God Loves Ugly, and F*ck You lucy; mixed with some of the newer hits.
Throughout the show Slug was engaged with the audience while paying tribute and respect to the City of Angels.
The entire performance in the words of slug was the closest some of us have been to “church” in a while and boy was he right.
Overall all the performers completely outdid themselves and The Bellwether was a great venue to host these acts. Definitely left the venue feeling the great vibes in the Atmosphere
